Inter Milan found their “ruthless” edge once again in their 5-0 Serie A hammering of relegation-battling Frosinone.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Last weekend, Inter had fallen to defeat in Serie A for the second time this season.

The Nerazzurri lost away to Sassuolo, who have so far proven to be the only team capable of beating the champions in the league, having done so twice this season.

That match certainly confirmed the Neroverdi’s status as a “bogey team” for Inter.

And it also gave the impression that perhaps Inter had inevitably taken their foot off the gas a bit after securing the title.

The Nerazzurri failed to find the back of the net in a league match for the first time in over a year. And at the other end, it was a fairly casual defensive breakdown that led to Sassuolo’s goal.

Inter Regain “Ruthless” Edge In Serie A Vs Frosinone

That loss to Sassuolo, while meaningless as far as the title goes, still stung for Inter’s pride.

Therefore, a reaction was always likely. And it was Frosinone who were unlucky to find themselves in the Nerazzurri’s crosshairs.

Inter came out looking like a team who wanted to demonstrate that the Sassuolo loss was little more than a fluke.

The Nerazzurri were physically fresh and intense, and sharp on a technical level.

Inter were moving the ball from back to front quickly and fluidly. And there were five goals from five different scorers.

Unlike against Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri unlocked the match relatively early on.

And from there on, Inter never loosened their grip on proceedings.

Four goals in the second half really put the exclamation point on the result.

Inter may have wrapped up the title already. But that doesn’t mean that they’re going to go on vacation in Serie A just yet.
