Scotland youth international signs first professional contract at Manchester United
ANP

Manchester United youngster Jack Kingdon has signed his first professional contract with the club.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Kingdon has put pen to paper on his first professional deal, which is a reward for his development in the academy.

This essentially means that United want Kingdon to continue his excellent progress with the club, while several other young players were let go this summer including Shola Shoretire.

Kingdon played a key role for United’s impressive U18 side last season, regularly starting in central defence and earning his first professional deal. He stands at 6ft 1in and has represented Scotland at several youth levels.

It’s a milestone achievement for Kingdon that allows him to focus on the objectives he wants to achieve over the next 12 months. The primary aim should be improving as a player both physically and mentally.

The defender was called up to train with the first team in April and he could earn a place in the pre-season squad this summer.
