Sevilla veteran and Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos appears to be on his way out of Spain for the second time in his career, as his return to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan draws to a close.

The 38-year-old has around six weeks remaining on his deal in Nervion, but does not look to be signing a new deal with Sevilla, after returning on a free from Paris Saint-Germain in September. Ramos has been a mainstay of their defence, and crucial in guiding them away from the relegation battle this season, but with uncertainty over their finances, they are yet to offer him a new deal.

As per The Athletic, Ramos is in advanced talks to join San Diego FC. The deal is yet to sealed, but he would sign for them as a designated player, that is to say one of their high earners. Ramos also has other offers from around the world, with links to Saudi Arabia persisting, but it appears he is edging towards the United States.

Ramos has made 34 appearances and scored seven goals back at his boyhood club this season, but it looks as if it will be a short-lived spell back there, after winning over the fans. His exit casts more uncertainty on how Sevilla will look next season, with the manager yet to make a decision.
