Serie A line-ups: Inter vs. Lecce

Inter must do without Lautaro Martinez after 89 games, so Marko Arnautovic partners Marcus Thuram against giant-killers Lecce.

Lautaro Martinez picked up a muscular problem during Wednesday’s 2-1 extra time Coppa Italia defeat to Bologna, so is out until the start of January, meaning for the first time in 89 consecutive matches, the Argentine is not available.

Federico Dimarco, Denzel Dumfries and Juan Cuadrado are also injured, while Alexis Sanchez is not 100 per cent fit either, so Arnautovic and Thuram are the only strikers able to start.

Lecce are tough to beat following promotion from Serie B, as they have beaten Lazio, held Milan and Bologna to draws, then beat high-flying Frosinone last week.

Pontus Almqvist and Kastriot Dermaku have not made the trip, but Joan Gonzalez returns from suspension.

Coach Roberto D’Aversa sits out a touchline ban.

Inter must watch out for the lightning pace of Lameck Banda on the left wing.
