Daniele De Rossi’s Roma will be hoping to continue their climb up the league table with a win away to a plucky Monza.

The match between the Biancorossi and the Giallorossi kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the U-Power Stadium in Monza.

Monza have continued to prove themselves one of the more troubling provincial clubs in Serie A this term, picking up wins over Milan, Salernitana and Sassuolo in recent weeks, leaving them comfortably mid-table.

Raffaele Palladino’s side are without Samuele Vignato, Gianluca Caprari and Danilo D’Ambrosio, all sidelined with injuries. Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez and Armando Izzo are both out with suspensions, with the former’s being a long-term absence

Roma have been reborn under former midfielder De Rossi, who has secured five wins out of six attempts in Serie A since taking over from Jose Mourinho six weeks ago. The team now sit sixth in the table, knocking on the door of the Champions League spots.

The Giallorossi cannot count on the injured Rick Karsdorp and Tammy Abraham, but otherwise the rest of the squad is available.

When these two teams met back in October, Roma edged out a 1-0 win over Monza thanks to a 90th minute goal from Stephan El Shaarawy.

Probable line-ups for Monza vs Roma

Monza (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Birindelli, D’Ambrosio, Mari, A. Carboni; Gagliardini, Pessina; Maldini, Colpani, Mota; Djuric.

Roma (4-3-3): Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Smalling, Spinazzola; Cristante, Paredes, Pellegrini; Dybala, Lukaku, El Shaarawy.
