Piotr Zielinski’s spectacular goal in Sunday’s Serie A clash between Hellas Verona and Inter Milan wasn’t random by any means.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri are working hard on improving their set-piece plays in training.

Zielinski’s wonder goal at Marc’Antonio Bentegodi came straight off the training ground.

Indeed, Hakan Calhanoglu picked out his teammate from the corner with an outstanding low cross.

Meanwhile, unmarked on the edge of the box, Piotr Zielinski slammed the ball into the top corner to put Inter in front.

Serie A Giants Inter Milan Turning into Set-Piece Specialists

Zielinski’s strike against Verona marked Inter’s seventh goal from set-piece plays this season.

Much like Arsenal in the Premier League, Cristian Chivu’s men have turned set pieces into a lethal weapon.

Furthermore, much of the credit goes to set-piece coach Angelo Palombo, who received plaudits from Chivu after the game.

Inter executed their training routine with immaculate precision.

Indeed, a well-rehearsed movement, combined with an accurate delivery, could become a hallmark of Chivu’s regime.
