Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli has welcomed the arrival of Lyon midfielder Jeff Reine-Adlade.

Reine-Adlade is in Spain today to sign for Sevilla on an initial loan.

Sampaoli said: "He is a midfielder that I faced in France, he has a lot of dynamics, a good level in the centre.

"A midfielder, mixed with arrival, talent, he can contribute to us in the midfield quantitatively and hopefully qualitatively, it will be seen through his adaptation. He can help us in a place on the field where we are quite tight."

Sampaoli also insisted he wasn't seeking to see Adnan Januzaj offloaded.

He added: "There are players who have a lot of capacity and who sometimes comes close or not to certain projects. Januzaj has talent but there is a distance between what I need and what he thinks he can give me. It will be a matter of time. I hope that happens. Today I have to get the best out of him so he can help the team."
