Despite efforts made by governing bodies to eliminate acts of hooliganism among supporters, sections of fans far too often engage in altercations before, during and after European fixtures such as UEFA Champions League matches.
It appears FC Copenhagen went out of their way to make peace with away Sevilla fans on Wednesday.
Per Josh Fordham of London sports radio station TalkSport and Sam Pearce of Give Me Sport, the official FC Copenhagen Twitter account shared a video of stewards bringing trays of free beer to the Sevilla away section ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash:

The clip had been viewed over 3.2 million times as of Thursday afternoon.
Pearce speculated that FC Copenhagen made such a generous gesture to the Sevilla supporters because Copenhagen are "not the biggest team" in the Champions League group that includes Sevilla, reigning English Premier League champions Manchester City and German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
"It clearly looks like the Danish side understood this and wanted to reward those Sevilla fans who had put all that effort into traveling to the game, deciding to spend their wonga on a visit to the Telia Parken," Pearce wrote.
As for the match itself, Fordham noted it "will quickly be forgotten" and was "a drab 0-0 draw." City top the group on six points, followed by Dortmund with three. Copenhagen and Sevilla both have a single point.
