The Premier League’s bottom club Sheffield United host second bottom Burnley on Saturday afternoon, and both sides come into this crucial fixture with injury concerns.

Sheffield United will have hopes of getting revenge after suffering an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at Turf Moor back in December. This subsequently led to Paul Heckingbottom being sacked by the Blades, with Chris Wilder later taking charge.

Meanwhile, Burnley will look to leave Bramall Lane victorious for the first time since 2008 when the duo tussled it out in a high scoring Championship clash. The Clarets edged the game 3-2.

Since that defeat, the Blades have scored at least three goals at home against Burnley in all but one meeting. And given Burnley’s inability to keep clean sheets, history may yet repeat itself this weekend at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United vs Burnley: Early injury news

Vincent Kompany will definitely be without Nathan Redmond, Aaron Ramsey, Luca Koleosho, Ameen Al-Dakhil, and Jordan Beyer for Burnley’s trip to South Yorkshire, as per the Burnley Express.

Chris Wilder has multiple absentees to deal with himself. Jack Robinson remains a doubt, while Rhys Norrington-Davies, Max Lowe, John Egan, Daniel Jebbison, Tom Davies, Rhian Brewster, George Baldock, and Chris Basham are still on the treatment table. The other major doubt for the Blades is Jayden Bogle, who limped off in serious pain against Brentford last weekend.
