Sergio Ramos has had a truly illustrious career, having won the World Cup, Champions League titles, the FIFA Club World Cup and a host of domestic trophies.

During his 16-year spell at Real Madrid, the defender won four Champions League titles, five LaLiga titles, four Club World Cups, three UEFA Supercups and six domestic cups.

It was during this time he also won the 2010 World Cup, with Spain also winning the European Championships either side of the tournament, in 2008 and 2012.

His free move from Madrid to PSG in 2021 saw him continue with his success, winning Ligue 1 in both years and the Trophée des Champions.

However, the 39-year-old could now be set for a return to France after his stint with Sevilla saw him left clubless before Mexican side Monterrey.

His year with the club is set to come to an end on 1st January 2026, with the centre-back once more being a free agent.

Now, French reporter Mohamed Toubache has revealed that OGC Nice are looking to sign Sergio Ramos when he leaves Monterrey.

The news was reported on X as Toubache responded to a post from Naninho06 about the links, which read: “Discussions are underway between OGC Nice and … Sergio Ramos (yes, yes)”

It continued: “At the time I’m writing this tweet, it’s impossible to confirm that the deal will go through, but the club is genuinely exploring the possibility of bringing in the Spaniard. By the way, if some of you can confirm?”

Responding to this, Toubache simply commented: “yes that’s true, the approach is serious”

The experience and leadership Ramos would bring to Nice could be vital, especially with the club now looking for stability amid the absolute chaos.

The INEOS-owned side have recently appointed Claude Puel as the new manager, to lead them to the end of the season, replacing Franck Haise with the club in 13th place in Ligue 1.
