South Korea vs. Uruguay Starting Lineups, Preview

South Korea faces Uruguay today in an international friendly at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The Asian powerhouse is coming off a 3-0 win over Ecuador, with goals from Oh Hyeon-gyu, Son Heung-min, and Lee Dong-gyeong.

The win also marked a positive start for new head coach Robert Moreno as he looks to usher in a new era for South Korean soccer.

Uruguay, meanwhile, suffered a 3-1 loss to Japan in its last fixture under interim manager Diego Forlan and is also going through a period of transition.

Looking at the historical head-to-head record, Uruguay has generally dominated South Korea, winning seven of their 10 meetings. Two matches ended in draws, while South Korea has managed just one victory.

Despite the historical advantage being in Uruguay’s favor, the Taegeuk Warriors will be a difficult opponent to break down in front of their home crowd.
