Luciano Spalletti was fired by Italy, but might not be out of work for long, because he has received a huge €18m per season offer from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr , where he’d replace Stefano Pioli.
The tactician was given the sack after a disastrous start to the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, losing 3-0 in Norway and then squeezing past Moldova 2-0.
While the Azzurri have not even found a replacement yet, Spalletti is already fielding proposals from the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr contacted him as early as Sunday, so the day before the final match against Moldova, just hours after he had announced his dismissal in a bizarre press conference.
They are offering him up a massive salary worth €18m per season in a two-year contract.
Spalletti has not made a decision yet, but it is certainly tempting after such a draining experience as the Italy bench.
He would be working with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr and replacing another Italian, as Pioli was appointed in September 2024.
It is no secret that Pioli is pushing for a return to Serie A for Fiorentina.
