Sporting Kansas City signed veteran defender Joaquin Fernandez through the 2025 season on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old center back arrives from Turkey's Trabzonspor after playing in his native Spain from 2013-23.
He tallied six goals and three assists in 313 career matches with UD Almeria, Real Valladolid and Trabzonspor.
