Sunk Barcelona dressing room have already given up on season – report

Barcelona exited the Champions League in frustrating fashion again on Tuesday night, conceding four goals after they went down to 10 men against Paris Saint-Germain. The dressing room will struggle to pick itself up again, as per the latest in Catalonia.

The players are struggling to turn their attention to El Clasico on Sunday, as they travel to the Santiago Bernabeu, and it was a quiet and desolate dressing room after the PSG loss. All of the players left with their heads down and quietly after the game.

Despite the game against Real Madrid on Sunday, the eight-point gap to Los Blancos means the players do not hold any real belief in their ability to continue challenging in La Liga, with just six games left thereafter. Sport say they are conscious of the need to show face in the final games, but the only real goal is to finish in the top two in order to qualify for the Spanish Supercup. The players know that individuals will now be playing for themselves, and are looking to secure the best situation for themselves for next season, ahead of an uncertain summer in Can Barca.
