Talks held with Euro giants: Spurs ready to offer £45m for 'fantastic' target this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are now interested in signing the Portuguese international midfielder Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich. 

The 30-year-old has not been able to showcase his true qualities at the German club, and the return to the Premier League could be ideal for him. He was outstanding for Fulham during his time in English football, and he could be a key player for Tottenham as well. 

According to journalist Sebastien Vidal, they have already held talks with Bayern Munich regarding a potential move for the midfielder, and they are preparing a £45 million offer to sign him. 

Tottenham need more depth and quality in the middle of the park, and the 30-year-old could be the ideal acquisition. He is at the peak of his career, and he will look to get back to his best once again. The opportunity to join a club in the Champions League could be exciting for Palhinha. 

Although there is no doubt that Bayern Munich have a more exciting project and a better team at their disposal, the material needs to play regularly, and moving to Spurs could be ideal for him. 

It will be interesting to see if the German champions are willing to accept the £45 million offer when it is presented. 

The midfielder is highly rated across Europe and former Tottenham striker Harry Kane has previously labelled him as a fantastic player.
