New Milan director of sport Igli Tare already started work today, meeting with Roma chiefs for Alexis Saelemaekers, Tammy Abraham and Francesco Camarda.

The announcement that Tare had been hired finally came this evening, several days after the reports of an agreement and three-year contract signed.

In truth, he had already begun his new job some hours before that, as he entered the Casa Milan headquarters earlier this afternoon.

He was swiftly followed in by Roma director of sport Florent Ghisolfi and agent Beppe Riso, who already acted as an intermediary last summer in the swap of loans between Saelemaekers and Abraham.

Milan and Roma must work out future of loan players

Those were both dry loans, meaning they have no option to make it permanent written into the deal, so the terms have to be negotiated.

That is what was happening today, as Roma have made it clear they want to buy Saelemaekers outright, whereas Milan are less confident about keeping Abraham.

According to MilanNews.it, another topic of discussion was Milan youth team striker Camarda, who is looking for more regular playing time next season.

A loan deal with Roma is entirely plausible, especially now that the Milan Futuro team has been relegated from Serie C.

Camarda only turned 17 in March and made 14 senior appearances for the club this season, most of them as a substitute, for just 234 minutes of football.
