The line between fiction and reality could not be more blurred now that EA Sports has announced that "Ted Lasso" and his club AFC Richmond will appear in FIFA 23, which is due out next week.

He's proven he belongs in the game, now Ted Lasso and @AFCRichmond are playable in FIFA 23 starting September 30.

"[Playing FIFA is] genuinely the closest thing I've had to addiction," actor Phil Dunster, who plays Jamie Tartt on the show, told ESPN. "Normally, I would play career mode with AFC Wimbledon because that's my team. Then you make your way up to the top and it's great to see Messi playing at Plough Lane."
FIFA 23 is set to be released on Sept. 30.
