Harry Kane is linked with a come back to the PL with Tottenham eyeing sensational home coming

Tottenham fans were left questioning the direction the North London club was heading into after Harry Kane announced his departure for pastures new in 2023. The England international was always seen as the player who would remain at N17 throughout his career. But things took an unexpected turn, maybe for the better, after the 32-year-old decided to call it quits and join Bayern Munich instead.

But it is fair to suggest that Kane’s decision to leave N17 worked out well for all parties involved. Spurs went on to end their long-awaited trophy-drought by winning the Europa League against all odds last season. And to put the cherry on top, Harry Kane also managed to secure his first career trophy by winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

The England international thoroughly deserved to get his hands on silverware after giving his all throughout his career. But there are still some pundits and fans questioning the 32-year-old’s decision to move abroad. Had he stayed at N17, the legendary striker would have easily broken Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal-scoring record, engraving himself as the best player the league had ever seen.

Tottenham return still on the cards for Harry Kane

It was reported earlier that Tottenham are keen to bring back Harry Kane next summer. The England international has a special release clause in his Bayern Munich contract which states that he would be allowed to leave for just £56m. The Lilywhites would be crazy to not test the waters for the prolific forward’s signature if the price tag that is being reported is correct.

Now, John Wenham has also given his thoughts on what Spurs’ stance should be regarding Harry Kane’s future. Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said,

“I would trade out every player we’ve got to just start again with Kane. That’s the answer. Of course, you’re talking about the best striker in the world, who always proves it. And I’m sure he’ll have his eye on coming back to the Premier League and becoming the all-time leading goal scorer. So without question.”

John Wenham has made it clear that he would put every Tottenham player on the transfer market if it meant that the club landed Harry Kane. The Lilywhite Rose owner wants Spurs to do everything they can to bring back the legendary forward to N17. And Wenham also believes that Kane would be open to come back to the Premier League and break Alan Shearer’s top goalscorer record before he retires.

There is no need to explain why Kane would thrive at Spurs if he decides to return home. The prolific striker has shown time and again what he brings to the table. He is someone who can come deep and dictate the tempo of the game, while also creating chances as and when needed. And not to everyone’s surprise, he also tends to get on the scoresheet more often than not. The legendary attacker would certainly elevate the quality of the Tottenham squad if he comes back.
