Manchester United completely changed their attack this past summer transfer window by spending big on Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and the best of them all, Bryan Mbeumo.

But who else could Manchester United try to bring in to get back to their status more than a decade ago of being a bona fide Premier League title contender?

Here are five dream options, with no regard to cost or likelihood of transfer, who could help transform the Man United squad and push them back up to the elite of the Premier League.

Inter Milan LM Federico Dimarco

There isn’t a single left sided midfielder who is more dynamic than Federico Dimarco, and if Manchester United want to keep playing this formation under Ruben Amorim, Dimarco is the guy who can own the pitch week in and week out as a left wing back.

Dimarco has been the X-Factor for Inter Milan since joining from Verona, blossoming into legitimately one of the best players in world football at any position with his explosiveness, tireless ball progression, insane strength, and cannon of a left foot.

He bombs up the pitch, crashes in the box, and scores and assists like a winger. Dimarco has two goals, four assists, and an insane three key passes per game this season for the Nerazzurri.

RB Leipzig LM David Raum

David Raum is the smartest troll who lived under a bridge, and it’s wild to think that he is now the primary playmaker on RB Leipzig as a left wing back. He is one of the best crossers of the football in the world, and, honestly, he’s having a better year than Alex Grimaldo in the Bundesliga despite being a smaller name.

The German international has been one of the best in Europe in his role for years, and he has both three key passes per game and more than three combined tackles and interceptions per game. Raum is the best all-around wide playmaking LWB in Europe right now.

Atletico Madrid ST Julian Alvarez

Julian Alvarez is a dream transfer target for teams like Chelsea and Barcelona next year, as there is a very real chance he becomes the next star forward at Atletico Madrid to want out after being held back by Diego Simeone.

Manchester United have full faith in Benjamin Sesko, and he is a great young player with a huge upside. But they don’t have much besides him other than Joshua Zirkzee, who honestly seems more likely to leave than stay.

Alvarez is a versatile, clinical forward who can play all three attacking positions for Manchester United and be elite in any of them, and that sort of opportunity is not something Man United should pass up on.

Bayern Munich DM Joshua Kimmich

Obviously, Bayern Munich aren’t going to ship Joshua Kimmich out anywhere, but, man, could you imagine how much better Manchester United would look with a midfield general like Joshua Kimmich reading the game and creating plays?

Kimmich and Bruno Fernandes on the same team would be a cheat code. Kimmich is one of the best players in the world at any position, and he is honestly a bit underrated because of how he goes about his business quietly to help the forwards shine, getting out recognized by the Bayern front three.

Bayer Leverkusen LM Alex Grimaldo

With 1.8 tackles per game, Alex Grimaldo is a pretty underrated playmaker, but what really sets him apart from the other left backs in world football is how ridiculously high is technical level is.

There’s a reason why Grimaldo is the dream left sided solution for so many big clubs in European football, because the Bayer Leverkusen star is like a cheat code with his deliveries and set pieces.

Grimaldo had four goals and three assists this season with nearly three key passes and nearly three combined dribbles completed and fouls drawn per game, offering even more progression than either Raum or Dimarco.
