Barcelona have now made it five straight wins on the trot, following up an impressive 3-1 victory over Elche in La Liga by taking down the dangerous underdogs Albacete in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey to show Real Madrid how its down.
Once again, Lamine Yamal got on the score sheet to continue to pad his Ballon d’Or resume, and last season’s close runner up to former Barcleona man Ousmane Dembele honestly deserves just as much love as a frontrunner this season as he got last season.
But instead of roundly being praised, Yamal now has to face the same inane commentary that every single young up and coming superstar has to deal with, and that is this idea that he is disrespectful or has a bad attitude.
It is outrageous to think that an uber talented young forward with more natural ability than any other player on this planet who scores more than he assists and carries the ball more than he parks himself for goals is being told that he has a bad attitude.
You can count on one hand the number of wingers who work as hard as Yamal to run up and down the pitch to start attacks, weave magic through defenders, and create goals for teammates.
Barcelona are a highly successful club, and Yamal is their workhorse out wide. The notion that he could be in any way a character problem or have any sort of a negative attitude is the most outrageous form of rage baiting by professionals who, quite frankly, should be talented enough at their own jobs to avoid slagging off a teenager for literally no reason.
