This latest Bacanin link seems to me like nothing more than ‘fake news’ and the remarkable story of a Rangers chap running a top Celtic site…
Celtic were last linked with a move for Andrej Bacanin, a 19 year old Serbian youth international who plays for Serbian Superliga side Cukaricki.

Bacanin a holding midfielder is highly rated in his homeland and is tipped to be a star at full international level and according to Cukaricki chief Vladimir Matijasevic Celtic along with a host of other clubs such as Ajax and Udinese have expressed an interest in signing his sides prized asset who already boasts a ton of first team experience at such a young age.
One of the other clubs expressing an interest according to Matijasevic is none other than our Glasgow rivals, quelle surprise. It seems to me that when clubs and/or agents are keen on driving up the price of their assets they name check our club alongside our rivals thrown in for good measure.

If anything it gives the SMSM a good headline. With the likes of the Daily Record and the Scottish Sun already running with the story, meaning it’s most likely nothing more than fake news. That though is probably an improvement on that AI guff that the Record and also some so called Celtic sites are publishing.

There was an interesting article by James Forrest over on The Celtic Blog over the weekend pointing out that there’s a fan of theRangers now running one of the biggest Celtic ‘fan’ media sites. To be fair the Rangers chap involved doesn’t try to hide it, maybe assuming what the hell do we care? Have a read at this, it’s quite astonishing…
You may also have noticed that James Forrest commented on The Celtic Star in that article saying this:]
“There are sites out there that provide truly excellent coverage of this club. The Celtic Star, for example, is consistently sharp. It has a team of top-quality writers who love the club and hold it to a high standard. We don’t always agree, but I respect the work they do. Tremendously. It’s honest work. It comes from the heart.”
Thank for that James and also for the heads up on the infiltrators within the Celtic fan media. Certainly one for the watching, hiding in plain sight.
“…a professional sports journalist with more than seven years of experience in the journalism industry. Since graduating from the University of the West of Scotland with a BA (Hons) Sports Journalism first-class honours degree in 2019, Gary has written for a number of national and regional publications including Football Scotland, the Daily Record, and the Kilmarnock Standard. Gary’s expertise is in Scottish football with extensive knowledge of Rangers.”
That same site also opted out of the Celtic fan media relationship with Celtic. No idea why.
