Consistency. That is the key to success…and we need to ensure that we give Joe Hart the perfectly finale to an incredible career…

Today Celtic aims to win the Scottish Cup and finish the season in style by completing the double. It won’t be easy though, and despite our form against today’s opponents theRangers, anything can happen in a cup final. That’s not a cliche, it’s a fact.

We have to overcome that obstacle by playing to the best of our ability, and giving nothing less than one hundred percent, as despite what some might think, victory is not a forgone conclusion. It’s far from it.

One thing we have in our favour as well as our ability is our consistency. The consistency of winning when it matters. That experience and know how of winning games when it matters has been a major factor in our continuing success and our domination of the Scottish game for a generation.

The fact we also have a consistent base of fit key players, especially these past few weeks has also helped greatly. Today’s starting line up will most likely be the one that has served us well in the business end of the season.

It’s a Celtic team that practically picks itself – Joe Hart in goals for one last time, a back four of Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor. The midfield three that theRangers simply can’t cope with, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley. Then there’s James Forrest on the right wing, Daizen Maeda on the left and Kyogo through the middle.

Add to that a strong bench with the likes of Adam Idah, Luis Palma, Tomoki Iwata and Paulo Bernardo all likely to get some minutes a Hampden this afternoon.

As I’ve said, from back to front this Celtic team picks itself, and that stability is key when it comes to winning games. Let’s hope today that stability and consistency sees us take home yet another trophy. While we’ll take a narrow 1-0 win how nice would it be to end the season in a massive high with the team putting on a real show just like they did down at Rugby Park on the night we won the league?
