The one reason Rosenior might pick Robert Sanchez over Filip Jorgensen in goal tonight

Liam Rosenior gave an update on his goalkeeper situation for tonight’s game, without giving much away about who might start.

In his press conference yesterday, Liam Rosenior was asked about his goalkeeper situation and how he would decide who would be starting tonight against PSG.

“With this squad, every position is a difficult position [to pick],” the manager said.

“That’s how it has to be for us to be successful. We have a fantastic squad, top players. Not even just the starting XI, making a decision who’s on the bench is difficult. That’s the job that I’m here to do. We’ll make that decision in terms of the goalkeeping position, in terms of the No.9 or No.10 or No.7 position.

“I’ve said before, for me, the goalkeeper position is no different to an outfield position. I will pick what I think is the right choice for each game. You’ll see what decision I make tomorrow on the team sheet.£

The only reason Rosenior might bring Sanchez back into his team

As always, Rosenior is saying a lot about the goalkeeping situation without saying much at all. This is how we see it: Sanchez was dropped because of a poor performance against Arsenal. He didn’t do much to recover that place with a poor performance against Wrexham. So we expect Jorgensen tonight.

The only reason we could see to change things again would be that Sanchez is better at kicking long, and that proved a great weapon against PSG in the Club World Cup win in the summer.

Former Chelsea defender Thiago Silva also played for PSG, and has given his thoughts on how Liam Rosenior could affect tonight’s game.
