There may not be anything on the line in terms of placement in the final round of La Liga fixtures, but there’s still awards that need to be decided. The Pichichi Trophy will come to its conclusion, with Artem Dovbyk currently leading the way, and the same can be said for the Zamora Trophy, which can be won by three candidates.

Athletic Club’s Unai Simon (0.94) currently heads Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (0.96) and Alex Remiro of Real Sociedad (0.97), as per MD. However, this order can change depending on the final round of fixtures.

Simon will face Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas, and his task is simple: keep a clean sheet, and the Zamora is his. However, if he concedes once, it opens the door for Ter Stegen, who would take the award for the second season in a row if he were to avoid conceding against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. Even if he concedes once, he can take the prize as long as Simon concedes at least two.

Remiro would require a clear sheet against Atletico Madrid to have any chance of winning, although he would also require Simon and Ter Stegen to concede at least once each.

It will be an interesting battle to follow over the weekend, although it can come to an end on Saturday evening with Athletic travel to Rayo. If Simon has kept his goal in tact until after the 60th minute, he can be substituted knowing that he has won the Zamora Trophy.
