Moises Caicedo refused to rule out a potential future transfer to Real Madrid when asked where his career may take him.

It’s not been a quiet international break for the Blues with Enzo Fernandez making further comments about his future, whilst Marc Cucurella openly criticised the project.

Fernandez has been suspended for the next two games against Port Vale and Manchester City, whilst Cucurella has avoided punishment.

Moises Caicedo speaks on his Chelsea future

Caicedo is another key player for Liam Rosenior, and he’s previously shut down speculation about a move to Real Madrid, and spoken about how happy he is at the club.

However, in an interview given to Spanish publication AS over the international break, he refused to rule out a potential move to the Spanish giants.

“You never know in football, don’t you think?” he told AS.

“I have a contract with Chelsea now. The truth is, I haven’t honestly thought about another club, about leaving London, but well, in the end, you never know in football.

“All I want is to enjoy myself. I have a contract and I want to keep playing as long as God allows. After that, we’ll see what happens.

“I have a contract, but we’ll see what the future holds. Let’s see what surprises await us.”

Caicedo is a key player and has made 139 appearances for the Blues since his £115m move from Brighton in summer 2023, whilst he’s under contract until 2031.

Chelsea haven’t agreed a deal with Strasbourg to sign midfielder Valentin Barco, despite reports in Argentina suggesting a deal was done.

The Blues are believed to be closely following Barco, and it’s said there’s a good possibility he could be a Chelsea player next season.

Quite where he’d fit in given the current options remains to be seen, but there would be space if Fernandez left.
