As the newspapers published their player ratings for Udinese-Milan this morning, AC Milan’s dominance became clear as no flop was named. Instead, everyone passed the test, with some doing really well.

In the last few months, or rather the entire season, Milan have always had at least one or two players who have been subpar in each game. Yesterday, however, that wasn’t the case as the lowest-rated players got a 6/10 (i.e. a pass).

Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below) named Rafael Leao as the MOTM at 8/10, and Corriere dello Sport (see photo below) did the same albeit at 7.5. Theo Hernandez was also heavily praised, given a 7.5 from both newspapers.

The ‘worst’ player of the bunch, according to Gazzetta, was Luka Jovic at 6 but it should be noted that the newspaper changed the category name to simply ‘lowest rating’. In other words, not the usual ‘the worst’ category, so the Serbian wasn’t bad by any means.

Overall, especially Gazzetta’s ratings are similar to our player ratings from last night, with everyone agreeing that Milan had a really good game.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s ratings

8: Leao.

7.5: Hernandez.

7: Pavlovic, Fofana, Reijnders, Pulisic, Abraham.

6.5: Gabbia, Jimenez, Sportiello.

6: Maignan, Tomori, Sottil, Jovic.

Corriere dello Sport’s ratings

7.5: Leao, Hernandez.

7: Pavlovic, Reijnders, Fofana, Abraham.

6.5: Maignan, Tomori, Gabbia, Pulisic, Jovic.

6: Sportiello, Jimenez, Sottil.
