Reports in Italy claim that Theo Hernandez has informed Milan of his inclination to join Simone Inzaghi at Al-Hilal this summer, and the Frenchman is now due to meet with representatives from the Saudi Pro League side in an attempt to close the deal.

According to multiple outlets in Italy, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, Theo Hernandez is on the verge of giving his final approval to a high-profile transfer to Al-Hilal.

The Saudi outfit, who appointed Inzaghi as head coach shortly after his departure from Inter, had originally seen a lucrative contract offer turned down by the Rossoneri left-back, but have recently returned to the table and are now on the cusp of wrapping up a deal for the 27-year-old.

Al-Hilal close to final Theo Hernandez agreement

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Al-Hilal are now in the ‘home stretch’ in talks with Milan for Theo Hernandez.

Monday’s report claims that Al-Hilal have increased their offer of personal terms from €18m-per-season in wages to an even more staggering figure of €20m-per-season.

Al-Hilal had previously offered a transfer fee of €30m to Milan, which the Rossoneri were prepared to accept before the initial deal fell through. It remains to be seen whether Al-Hilal’s offer will remain at the €30m mark the second time around.

La Gazzetta dello Sport adds that Theo Hernandez called the Rossoneri management on Monday morning to inform them of the current situation and his current stance – that he is inclined to accept the proposal.
