La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Thiago Motta considers Andrea Cambiaso, Kenan Yildiz, and Nicolò Fagioli three untouchable players in his Juventus squad.

Motta is set to become the new Juventus coach in 2024-25. Gazzetta reports that the Bianconeri will confirm the coach’s appointment at the beginning of June but according to the pink paper, Motta’s reign at the Allianz Stadium has ‘practically started.’

According to the report, the ex-Bologna coach has already identified three untouchable players in his squad. They are Cambiaso, Yildiz and Fagioli.

The Italian full-back recently extended his contract until 2029, Yildiz will soon sign a new agreement as well, and Fagioli has just returned from a seven-month ban for gambling.

Motta hopes to keep Gleison Bremer in the team and form a defensive partnership with Riccardo Calafiori, but the Bianconeri may need to sell the Brazilian to afford the Bologna defender.

Next week, Cristiano Giuntoli will have a ‘decisive’ meeting with Adrien Rabiot’s agent and mother, Veronique, to determine whether the Frenchman will extend his stay beyond 2024. Bayern Munich and some Premier League clubs are interested in the ex-PSG star who played with Thiago Motta during his spell in the French capital.

Federico Chiesa’s future remains uncertain, and the same is true of Wojciech Szczesny, given that Juventus have reached a principle of agreement to sign Michele Di Gregorio from Monza.
