Tottenham Hotspur have a very talented first-team squad whose average age is quite low. Most of the players in the team are either just entering the prime years of their careers as a footballer or yet to enter it. What this means is things look bright for Spurs from a futuristic perspective.

The North London club also have a very productive academy with a number of young talents banging on the first-team door. Among those, arguably the poster boy of the academy currently is Mikey Moore, who already spent last season in the first-team under Ange Postecoglou.

In recent days, it has emerged that Tottenham are looking to loan out the 17-year-old left-winger this summer to get him regular game time and enable his development and Rangers have emerged as the most likely option to sign him for the upcoming season.

Frank has huge hopes for Mikey Moore

Speaking about the youngster’s future, Thomas Frank has confirmed that the club is looking at the “right option” to let Mikey Moore leave the club this summer for a loan spell. As quoted by the Standard, here is what he had to say:

“Mikey is a big talent, I’m really excited about his future here at Tottenham. I think for all players, but especially the younger players, they need to get that first-team consistent football into their bodies. If we can find the right option, we’ll do that.”

Frank has quite a reputation of developing a lot of youngsters during his time at Brentford. The Bees always had their recruitment spot-on despite working with a very minimal budget and the Danish tactician managed to bring the best out of his resources.

His words clearly suggest that Frank has a plan to include Mikey Moore in the first-team in upcoming seasons and wants him to get regular game time under his belt. He is absolutely right in saying that all the youngsters need regular game time to grow and develop.

Our very own Neymar Jr.

Moore made quite an impression playing on the left-wing under Ange Postecoglou. Club vice-captain James Maddison likened him to Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. for one of his dazzling displays last season and he played quite an important role in the early stages of Spurs’ Europa League winning campaign.

Without an iota of doubt, Mikey Moore is one of the biggest young talents in English football going around at the moment. It would do the world of good for the teenager to go out on loan to a club like Rangers and get regular minutes under his belt. Let’s wait and see where the youngster ends up and how he performs in the upcoming season.
