Spurs were sitting 14th in the Premier League, with fans chanting for Thomas Frank’s sacking after a recent home loss to West Ham. Despite this, he appeared defiant in the presser.

Key highlights from the conference:

Frank emphasised feeling “the trust” from the club’s hierarchy, mentioning he had lunch that day with key figures including CEO Vinai Venkatesham, sporting director Johan Lange, and Nick Beucher.

He described it as a positive discussion about “life and football, the future of the club,” and dismissed external speculation as “part of the media circus.”

He insisted there’s backing and support, saying he’s felt it “along the way” and in every press conference.

On pressure: “When your back is against the wall, you fight.” He acknowledged the “stormy weather” but focused on winning the upcoming game.

He appealed to fans: “As long as we win football matches and make sure we win enough of them, everyone will support us.” He claimed the team is “much closer than we think” to turning things around and urged support for the team.

Thomas was joined by player Xavi Simons during the session. Refreshingly, there were no mentions of injury updates, team selection, and other topics; however, the dominant theme was Frank’s job security.
