Chelsea Football Club endured as unique a day as any Premier League side has seen in recent memory.
Owner Roman Abramovich, who previously agreed to sell the club, was added to the United Kingdom's list of sanctioned Russian oligarchs on Thursday due to his alleged ties to President Vladimir Putin amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and telecommunications company and shirt sponsor Three responded by suspending its deal with Chelsea.
The Blues still had to take the pitch for Thursday's league game against Norwich City at Carrow Road which Chelsea won 3-1, a contest that featured the visitors wearing their primary kits:

Chelsea are still wearing the Three logo on their shirts despite being asked not to by the sponsor. I guess it is simply that there was no time to sort any new kit. Announcement was just over an hour ago. #CFC #NORCHE

As part of the sanctions, Chelsea cannot conduct transfer business, offer new contracts to current players, or sell new tickets for future matches. Despite these setbacks, manager Thomas Tuchel insisted before Thursday's game he's content and remaining focused on what he can control.
"I don't know if I'm concerned but we are aware of it and it changes almost every day. We cannot do much about it," Tuchel said of this latest development, per Sky Sports. "I'm still happy to be here, still happy to be manager of a strong football team and I'm happy to play the match today. I know there's a lot of noise around and still we allow ourselves to try our best to focus on football."
While Chelsea can continue day-to-day operations, Abramovich's original plans to sell the club are on hold and will likely depend on the U.K. considering an application for a license that would ensure he could not benefit from the sale. As with other matters regarding Chelsea, Tuchel's future may also be in limbo if he ultimately feels the juice is not worth the squeeze and that he can find a similar job, minus the headaches, elsewhere.
