Petar Sucic impressed after coming off the bench during last night’s FIFA Club World Cup clash between Inter Milan and Fluminense.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, tired legs led to Inter’s unexpected elimination from the tournament.

Inter also looked ‘distracted and disorganized’ against the Brazilian outfit, particularly in the opening 45 minutes.

Despite Nerazzurri’s status as pre-match favorites, Cristian Chivu slumped to his first defeat in charge.

Indeed, a self-destructive performance from the Serie A runners-up helped Fluminense claim a ‘deserved’ 2-0 win.

First-team stalwarts Kristjan Asllani and Henrikh Mkhitaryan failed to meet expectations in the first half.

Instead, Inter seemingly lacked creativity and composure in midfield, resulting in an uneventful performance.

Therefore, Chivu introduced Petar Sucic early in the second half to change the dynamics.

Unfortunately, it didn’t pay off, as the woodwork denied Lautaro Martinez and Federico Dimarco after the break.

However, Sucic’s showing was impressive.

Indeed, the Croatian youngster showed confidence and determination, unlike Asllani, who looked lost on the pitch.

Meanwhile, Valentin Carboni and Sebastiano Esposito brought energy off the bench.
