Top source mentions new name on Chelsea’s goalkeeper shortlist

Chelsea have a new name on their goalkeeper shortlist as they look to replace Edouard Mendy, who’s Saudi move was confirmed yesterday.

Mendy left the club after losing his number one spot to Kepa Arrizabalaga last season, the goalkeeper who’s number one spot he TOOK when he first arrived at the club.

Chelsea’s goalkeeper position has been problematic for some time now, and the club are considering making a decision that could end up making it even more problematic, and that is keeping Kepa as the number one goalkeeper.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea are looking for a young goalkeeper or experienced goalkeeper to create competition, because Kepa is going to be the number 1, which is quite astonishing to be honest, astonishingly bad.

And a new name they are looking at as that competition, is 21-year-old Anatoliy Trubin from Shakhtar Donetsk, even though we have a top young goalkeeper already in Gaga Slonina.
