Torino are keeping a close eye on Jeremia Recoba, the son of former Inter star Alvaro Recoba, who is already making an impression at Nacional.

Calcio fans of a certain age will remember the mercurial talent of Alvaro Recoba, who wrote history in Serie A with some extraordinary goals and that incredible left foot.

He played for Inter, Venezia and Torino in Italy, then saw out his career in his homeland of Uruguay with Nacional.

Recoba talent runs in the family

His son Jeremia has already followed in his footsteps by playing for Nacional and could now do the same at Torino.

The 21-year-old can play as a winger or trequartista and remarkably is right-footed, so doesn’t take completely after his father.

Under contract until December 2025, his price-tag is believed to be circa €3m and crucially he has an Italian passport, having been born in Como in 2003.

That means he can be registered as an EU player if Torino should take the plunge.
