Tottenham could reignite their interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani

Tottenham Hotspur were beaten by Juventus to the signing of Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful that the Frenchman’s strong performances at Juventus will generate interest as the summer transfer window nears. The Ligue 1 champions aim to recoup at least half of the astronomical €95 million they splashed to bring him in from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

Randal Kolo Muani quickly made an impact at Juventus, scoring seven goals in 11 appearances. However, he has failed to find the back of the net in the last five fixtures. The 26-year-old played only 22 minutes on Monday as Juventus drew 1-1 with AS Roma.

The scene at the Turin club has now changed following Thiago Motta’s sacking. Igor Tudor is now the manager, and Kolo Muani has struggled to showcase his initial form under him.

Now, according to an exclusive report from TBR Football journalist Graeme Bailey, Kolo Muani’s representatives are making it known that the forward could be on the market this summer with his long-term future at Juventus up air.

“It is coming to pass now that is people are now letting everyone know that he’ll be on the move again this summer,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.

“Things have not gone according to plan at Juve, he’s playing well but they’ve just changed manager and he didn’t start on the week. It’s now completely up in the air whether Juve will make the deal permanent.”

The reliable journalist has also revealed that Tottenham still remain keen on the France international and have asked to be kept informed over his future.

“Tottenham are one of the teams who are being kept informed on him. Tottenham like him a lot and know he’s a great player so it would not surprise me if he’s back on Tottenham’s radar,” added Bailey.

“I think with him being back on the market – that’s a fascinating option for Tottenham but there are others in the Premier League who like him. Daniel Levy likes him.”

Spurs have already started planning for the summer transfer window and as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of next season. At present, Dominic Solanke faces little competition for his starting berth, with injuries and a lack of squad depth leaving Ange Postecoglou’s hands tied. Richarlison continues to be tentative due to his patchy injury record, while Son Heung-min prefers to operate off the left rather than centrally.

The Hotspur Way chiefs are still interested in Kolo Muani, even if his impact has dwindled and goals have dried up at Juve of late. With Richarlison’s future up in the air amid Everton interest, Spurs may pounce on the opportunity to recruit the Bondy-born star should he become available on the market again.

However, it would not be straightforward for the North Londoners as several other Premier League clubs also continue to monitor the 2022 World Cup finalists’ performances in Serie A.
