Tottenham are hoping to bring in a new attacking midfielder in the summer for next season.

Tottenham are hoping to return to winning ways under Igor Tudor in the coming months as the club aims to secure its top-flight status for next season. It is crucial that the Lilywhites remain afloat if they are to strengthen their squad in the summer and convince top players to join them on a long-term basis. The North Londoners must bring in reinforcements as they look to compete at the top end of the league table under a new permanent manager.

There are several glaring issues in the squad that must be addressed before next season. Chief among them is the need for a creative playmaking midfielder who can provide a spark in the final third and help Spurs generate chances consistently. This is an area where the North Londoners are currently lacking, as they continue to struggle to make a regular impact in attacking areas.

With James Maddison ruled out until the end of the year after rupturing his ACL in pre-season, it seems increasingly likely that the Lilywhites will pursue a replacement. Dejan Kulusevski’s continued absence has also proven costly, as both players have yet to feature this season and may require time to regain full match sharpness following their long-term injuries.

Tottenham remain determined to sign PSG star Senny Mayulu

It is therefore no surprise that Tottenham are targeting a new attacking midfielder ahead of next season. The Lilywhites have been forced to rely on Lucas Bergvall and Xavi Simons in that role, but both players have struggled to deliver consistent performances from the position. As a result, the North Londoners are monitoring several players in the transfer market who could step directly into the starting lineup and operate as a natural #10.

As per Ekrem Konur (via X), Spurs are interested in signing PSG youngster Senny Mayulu in the summer. The 19-year-old has made significant progress with the Ligue 1 champions under Luis Enrique, becoming a regular presence in the squad despite his young age. Already worth €40m at 19, PSG have been keen to secure his long-term future with a new contract, but Mayulu has reportedly turned down their offers as he considers pursuing a new challenge.

The same report claims that several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, are monitoring the situation closely in hopes of bringing him to England. Mayulu is also attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, with each club prepared to offer him opportunities to develop and showcase his talent at the highest level. This could present a challenge for the Lilywhites, who currently lack the same level of appeal as their rivals due to their league position.

Tottenham should pull out all stops for Senny Mayulu

Senny Mayulu’s creativity is exactly what Tottenham are lacking as they struggle to climb out of the bottom half of the Premier League table. The French midfielder possesses immense potential and could develop into a key figure for the Lilywhites if he makes the move to N17. At just 19 years old, he has ample time to adapt to the demands of English football and establish himself as a consistent performer for the North Londoners.

Mayulu has played an important role in PSG’s title push this season. According to Sofascore, the teenager has made 27 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring four goals and providing five assists. He has also created six big chances and registered 32 key passes, highlighting his creative influence in an already star-studded squad. All in all, the Frenchman would represent an exciting addition for Spurs and could prove to be a valuable long-term investment.
