Tottenham can now sign 24-year-old for 30% less money than they offered in January

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 24-year-old will be out of contract next summer, and he is expected to be on the move in the coming weeks. Crystal Palace will not want to lose him on a free transfer next year, and they will look to sell him this summer.

Guehi is available on a bargain

According to a report from GMS, the player is valued at around £50 million. Tottenham had a £70 million package turned down in January for the defender, and they will now be able to sign him at a discount of around 30%.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham come forward with an offer of around £50 million to get the deal done. They need to improve the quality of their defensive unit, especially if Cristian Romero leaves the club. He has been linked with Atletico Madrid in recent weeks.

The England International could be the ideal replacement for the South American. He has established himself as one of the best central defenders in the league, and he has the quality to play for bigger clubs.

Marc Guehi is a man in demand

Tottenham will be able to offer him UEFA Champions League football, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the player to join the club. He is reportedly on the radar of rivals Liverpool as well. Arsenal and Newcastle have been mentioned as potential destinations as well.

Crystal Palace have already identified Ousmane Diomande as a replacement for the England international defender, and they are waiting to sell the player before they can sign an alternative. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

Guehi will look to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football. He will look to join a club. He will play regularly and fight for trophies.
