We know Daniel Levy to make some surprising deals, and the 63-year-old club chairman could be cooking again as Tottenham Hotspur could be set to make one of the most unexpected deals of the ongoing summer transfer window as fresh links emerge for the North Londoners to land Manchester City star Jack Grealish on a loan move.

City open to Jack Grealish loan

The North Londoners have held Jack Grealish in admiration for a long time, with Daniel Levy eyeing the now England international even before his record-breaking move to City and during his days in the academy at Villa Park. And now Tottenham could finally swoop in for him, as the 29-year-old could be on his way out of Etihad this summer. And while a permanent deal carries a lot of financial risk, City are said to be open to letting him leave on a possible loan deal which comes to the North Londoners ears like music.

The thing with him is that you cannot ideally think about a permanent transfer because of his mammoth £300k-per-week wages, but if you take him up on a season-long loan, then you end up sharing wages, and this is the type of high-profile transfer that can end up suiting the North Londoners, especially if this pursuit of Gibbs-White ends up being messier, which can end up causing Levy to forcefully shift focus away from the Nottingham man.

And according to a latest report by Dean Jones via Flashscore, the former Aston Villa midfielder is said to be attracting serious interest from clubs across the English top tier, with Tottenham being one of the sides who are “still genuinely keen” to attain his signature.

But as Jones says, Tottenham are not alone in pursuit of his signatures, with multiple clubs interested. And the interest starts with West Ham, who are trying to make up for losing Mohammed Kudus (who moved to Tottenham earlier this summer), and the Hammers are said to have already made informal contact with the Cityzens over understanding the availability of the 29-year-old.
