Improved Tottenham Hotspur offer can convince Manchester City to part ways with Savinho

Fabio Paratici would be quite satisfied with the work he has done this summer as he saw one of his most high-profile signings for Tottenham Hotspur, Mohammed Kudus, put in a decisive shift in the opening Premier League 2025-26 match against Burnley yesterday.

The Ghanaian international put in two assists in his debut, and showed the fans why the North London side had paid such a high sum to sign him this summer. This latest performance once again made it clear that Kudus makes Thomas Frank’s attack significantly more fearsome.

However, Tottenham are still looking to bring in another winger before the end of this summer transfer window, and for this purpose, they have been linked closely with the Manchester City forward Savinho.

In fact, Spurs made and saw their offer being rejected by the Citizens around a week ago. As things stand, Manchester City are closing the doors on a potential departure of the Brazilian starlet. However, as per a report from Fabrizio Romano, an improved offer from Tottenham can still convince them to part ways with Savinho. Negotiations between the two sides are still continuing and the player himself is also keen to make his move to the North London side.

Savinho would be a welcome addition to the Spurs team

Spurs would definitely be hoping that this is the case, as the Samba star brings in a profile that is not too abundantly available in Thomas Frank’s current squad. He would improve the threat posed by the team on the wings, and his destabilizing speed and skill would certainly be a welcome addition to the team’s attacking arsenal.

At Manchester City, he has not been a regular starter, so a move to Tottenham also makes sense for the player himself. With this move, he would get the chance to play a more prominent role for another big Premier League side which would also be competing in the UEFA Champions League this season.

But for now, it remains to be seen how these negotiations advance and whether the two sides can come to an agreement before the transfer window closes.
