Tottenham express interest in signing 32-G/A star who ran Man United ragged this season

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki at the end of the season.

According to Fichajes, they have expressed an interest in signing the 21-year-old French attacker. We have recently covered reports stating his agent has been in touch with Tottenham.

Cherki has been outstanding in the French league as well as the UEFA Europa League this season. He was very impressive against Manchester United in the Europa League (two goals in two matches), and there is no doubt that he has the ability to compete in the Premier League.

The Frenchman not only scored twice against the Red Devils, but he also managed to dismantle their defence with his flair and passing.

Tottenham could use Rayan Cherki

The technically gifted attacker will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham team. They need more depth in the final third, and the 21-year-old is capable of operating in multiple roles. He can slot into the wide areas as well as centrally.

The player has 12 goals to his name this season, and he has picked up 20 assists along the way. There is no doubt that he is a phenomenal talent with a bright future, and Tottenham could nurture him into a star.

Bargain asking price

The player could be available for a fee of just €22 million, and he could prove to be a major bargain at that price.

Regular football in the Premier League will help him improve further and fulfil his world-class potential. James Maddison has been inconsistent this season, and Tottenham need more competition for places. The French attacker could be the ideal long-term investment for them.

He is young enough to improve further, and he could easily justify the €22 million investment in the near future. Tottenham should do everything in their power to get the deal done.
