Tottenham face fierce competition for ‘electric’ 28 G/A star amid Manchester United competition

However, the 24-year-old does not have competition on the right flank and he is guaranteed a spot in the starting eleven.

Tottenham are looking to bring in quality attackers in the summer to bolster the squad depth as the North London club prepares for Champions League football next season. With Brennan Johnson lacking competition on the right flank, the Lilywhites are aiming to sign a prolific right-winger that could compete with Johnson next season and add a different dynamic to the attack.

It was reported earlier that Spurs were interested in landing Bretford star Bryan Mbeumo in the summer. The Cameroon international has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and the Lilywhites wanted to bring his quality to N17 for next season. The aforementioned report had also suggested that the Bees value the 25-year-old at around £50-55m and would accept an offer in that region.

However, Tottenham are not the only club linked with a move to sign the Brentford star. As per Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have also entered the race for Bryan Mbeumo’s signature. The renowned journalist has suggested that the Red Devils view the 25-year-old as the perfect player to operate in the number ten position in Ruben Amorim’s setup.

Daniel Levy might need to act quick if he wants to land the Brentford No.19 in the summer. Signing Mbeumo would mean that Brennan Johnson would lose his spot in the starting eleven next season. However, bringing the Cameroon international to N17 would be a step in the right direction as the Lilywhites would look to close the gap on their rivals.

The prolific winger also played a key part in helping Thomas Frank’s side finish the season strong. There is no surprise why the top clubs are looking to sign the 25-year-old in the summer.
