Randal Kolo Muani hasn’t lived up to his expectations at Tottenham.

Tottenham have been scouting the market as the chiefs at Hotspur Way look to resolve attacking problems with reinforcements when the summer comes around. And they don’t have to look far, as their search has led the Lilywhites to Brentford forward Kevin Schade.

But prising away the German international’s signatures from the West Londoners will not be an easy task.

Brentford put hefty £60m fee on Tottenham target

Brentford are said to value him at £60m, according to a recent report from Football Insider, which leaves Tottenham facing an uphill battle if they are to bring the 24-year-old to N17.

The Bees have enjoyed quite a lot of success in their data-driven transfer model, where they look to sign undervalued players and sell them for massive profits after developing them at Gtech Community Stadium.

And it looks like Schade is their next big asset alongside Igor Thiago (who also has established links with a possible Tottenham move).

Schade has developed into one of the more dangerous offensive outlets with the Bees, and they are set on their £60m asking price for him, given that they are under no pressure to sell with Schade still tied to Gtech Community Stadium for another couple of years.

Tottenham are not alone in pursuit of his signing (as expected, given his quality). The European elite duo of Inter Milan and Bayern Munich also hold interest in prizing him away from West London.

Schade could replace Randal Kolo Muani at Hotspur Way

Given the attacking problems Tottenham have had, the Lilywhites’ interest in him is understandable. He brings that rapidness upfront with his willingness to dribble directly every time he is on the ball, and then there is his ability to stretch defences, making him a natural fit for the kind of vertical attacking football that Tottenham have tried to implement multiple times in the past couple of seasons.

He could also be a possible long-term replacement for Randal Kolo Muani, who is set to return to his parent club at the end of his loan stay at N17 after the Frenchman failed to impress enough donning the Spurs badge.

But Tottenham at the moment are in no position to win any sort of race for players like him. First things first, the club needs to secure that Premier League status as the fight at the bottom of the Premier League table continues to become thinner with every game week as Spurs continue to drop points.
