Tottenham finally get chance to sign 28-year-old they have been in talks for over 18 months

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Ko Itakura.

According to Give Me Sport, the German club are now prepared to sell the player for a fee of just £12 million. Tottenham are long-term admirers of the Japanese defender, and they have been holding talks for him over the last 18 months.

This is a golden opportunity for them to snap up the versatile defender for a reasonable amount of money, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. He is capable of slotting into multiple roles, and he could be an asset for Tottenham.

Bargain move on the cards?
