Tottenham Hotspur are preparing themselves for a massive squad rebuild after a domestic season that has to be forgotten very quickly.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have not performed as per expectations, and it is believed that Daniel Levy is ready to sell the deadwood to make space for new arrivals. Club captain Son Heung-min has struggled with form and fitness this season, and fans believe that the versatile forward is past his best now. Richarlison has also endured a ‘stop-start’ campaign, while Timo Werner’s return on loan to White Hart Lane has been nothing short of a disaster.
Tottenham will look to bring in quality players who can make an immediate impact in the starting XI. With Richarlison heading for the exit doors at N17, the Lilywhites are expected to sign an upgrade on him this summer.
According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham could be given an opportunity to sign Dusan Vlahovic on a cut-price deal from Juventus during the summer transfer window. Juventus want to sell the Serbian striker and are prepared to accept an offer as low as £20million.
Dusan Vlahovic has seen his stock tumble in the last 15 to 18 months at Juventus, thanks to a combination of his poor form and chopping and changing of managers. He has struggled to rediscover his mojo that once made him one of the hottest strikers across the European continent. The 25-year-old, who has 14 goals and five assists this season, has given indication to the Juventus board that wants a fresh challenge in the summer.
With the Belgrade-born ace on course to enter the final year of his contract, the Turin giants are ready to sell him this summer and raise some funds. This has put Spurs and several other clubs on red alert.
The aforementioned report adds that the North Londoners have been made aware of Vlahovic’s situation and they could choose to accelerate their pursuit when he has been made available for transfer for a paltry fee. However, Tottenham are likely to face stiff competition for the striker’s services, with Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham expected to enter the race if Manchester United win the battle for Liam Delap’s signature.
Even though Vlahovic’s performance levels have dipped since 2023, he could do a fine job for Tottenham. With his physicality and pace, the ex-Fiorentina man will provide a different dynamic to Dominic Solanke up top. He is efficient in front of goal and can run the channels quite well, in contrast to Solanke, who is technically strong and likes to link up with his teammates by dropping deep.
That said, if Daniel Levy can crack a deal for Vlahovic anywhere around £20-25 million, it would represent a snip for Tottenham.
