Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign the Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo at the end of the season.

The Japanese international has attracted the attention of the North London club with his performances, and Tottenham have now submitted an offer of around £43 million for him, as per Fichajes.

The offer is just short of his release clause, which stands at £52 million. It will be interesting to see if the La Liga outfit are prepared to let him leave and accept the offer from Tottenham.

Kubo is highly rated across Europe and he has a big future ahead of him. He could be a key player for the North London club if they can secure his signature. He is versatile enough to operate on both flanks and he can slot in as the number ten as well.

The 22-year-old has seven goals and four assists to his name in all competitions and he will add some much-needed cutting edge and technical liability in the final third. His ability to slot into multiple roles could make him a valuable asset for Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs need dynamic attackers like him so that they can have a tactically flexible lineup. They will need more depth in order to compete on all fronts and it remains to be seen whether they can bring in the necessary signings this summer.

The Japanese winger has proven himself in the Spanish league and a move to the Premier League league will be quite exciting for him. It will be interesting to see if he can adapt to English football quickly and make an instant impact at Tottenham.

The winger is still only 22 and he could improve with coaching and experience. He has all the attributes to develop into a top class Premier League attacker with the right guidance.
