Tottenham are plotting a summer move for Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck

Tottenham Hotspur need to bring in reinforcements in the summer if they want to compete for higher spots in the Premier League next season. They have the perfect opportunity to use the silverware as a springboard and close the gap on their rivals.

There is no surprise that the North Londoners are looking to bring in a new centre-back in the summer after a disastrous domestic campaign. With Cristian Romero heading for the exit doors at N17, Daniel Levy is looking to sign a perfect replacement in the summer that could fill the defensive void left behind by the Argentina international.

Spurs are interested in signing Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck. The 24-year-old has been in and out of the Inter Milan side this past season. While he has been solid when playing as either a centre-back or wing-back, the Germany international may be willing to leave Inter to become a regular starter elsewhere.

The North Londoners reportedly have no issues paying the defender’s €40m asking price, with Inter set to make a decision about his future after the FIFA Club World Cup. And the Nerazzurri are ready to let him Yann Bisseck leave this summer, provided one condition is fulfilled.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Inter could ask for Radu Dragusin in a swap deal for Bisseck. The club’s new coach, likely to be Cesc Fabregas, will have the final say on whether to allow the German defender to leave Giuseppe Meazza. West Ham, Manchester United and Aston Villa also remain admirers of the 24-year-old.

Radu Dragusin had to be patient for his opportunities at Tottenham since arriving from Genoa during the 2024 January transfer window. Injuries to both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven this season opened up opportunities for the 23-year-old, who made 28 appearances across all competitions before suffering an unfortunate ACL rupture in February.

The Romanian international has not quite adapted to the demands of Premier League football and is now ruled out for the foreseeable future. However, Dragusin has started his rehab as he looks to recover fully from an ACL injury. There is no timeframe for the central defender’s return from a serious knee injury, but that hasn’t stopped Inter from asking for his services.

If Inter are proposing a swap deal between Bisseck and Dragusin after Fabregas’ green signal, Spurs must not think twice before accepting it.
