Tottenham Hotspur travel across London to face Fulham on Sunday at 2:00pm. They head to Craven Cottage following a heavy 4-1 defeat to Arsenal. In his second match in charge, interim head coach Igor Tudor faces the challenge of leading Spurs to their first Premier League win of 2026. With just a four-point buffer to the relegation zone, wins are becoming increasingly necessary. Hosts Fulham enjoyed an impressive 3-1 victory at Sunderland last weekend. Marco Silva’s side are currently 10th in the league and still playing with the incentive of European qualification. However, their form has been inconsistent of late – winning two and losing four in their last six league matches. Here is the latest Tottenham team news and predicted starting lineup vs Fulham.
Spurs deployed a 3-5-2 formation against Arsenal, but despite Igor Tudor’s preference for high pressing, his side were pinned back for large periods. Tudor’s team spent the vast majority of the match in their own half, allowing Arsenal 60% possession. The midfield trio of Yves Bissouma, Connor Gallagher and Pape Sarr provided a layer of added security in the North London Derby. Against a Fulham side on an inconsistent run, Spurs may look to set up more aggressively.
A 3-4-2-1 more similar to Tudor’s preferred setup is expected on Sunday, with a front three tasked with pressing high. Spurs struggled to build from the back against Arsenal due to a lack of progressive passers. Tudor could counter that personnel shortcoming by allowing Xavi Simons increased freedom to drop and collect deeper. Wing-backs are expected to be more essential to build-up, after Arsenal limited Djed Spence and Archie Gray’s influence.
Tudor has suggested his desire to impose his more intense style may be limited due to the condition of returning players. Speaking in his press conference, Tudor said: “It’s fantastic to go to press up… [but] if you have too many problems back, then you need to think about the style.” As a result, the Tottenham team news takes on even greater importance.
Cristian Romero will serve the third match of a four-match suspension, following his sending off against Manchester United.
There are no fresh injury concerns. According to Tudor, there was a “small problem for Micky van de Ven, but he will be in.”
Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso are set to return. When asked if they were back, Tudor said: “Yes, that’s right.”
Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski and Destiny Udogie are recovering, but are unlikely to be ready for Fulham. Tudor said: “I know the days, but not exactly now.”
Wilson Odobert, Ben Davies, Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison and Mohamed Kudus are all ruled out.
