Tottenham plot second raid on club for 20-goal star, £50-60m would get deal done

Tottenham Hotspur are now plotting another raid on West Ham United this summer, and they could move for Lucas Paqueta.

The 28-year-old Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the London club, and Spurs are prepared to provide him with an exit route. According to a report from Team Talk, they are plotting a late move for the midfielder, but West Ham are reluctant to let him leave.

The two clubs have recently dealt during the transfer of Mohammed Kudus, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can sign another quality player from West Ham before the window closes. The report claims that a late offer of around £50-60 million might be enough to get the Brazilian out of West Ham.

Lucas Paqueta would improve Spurs

Tottenham need more quality in the midfield, and the Brazilian could be the ideal acquisition.

He will add work rate, technical ability, creativity, and experience to the side. He has been a reliable performer in the Premier League for West Ham. He will look to make an instant impact at Tottenham if the transfer goes through.

The player has 20 goals and 14 assists in 123 matches for West Ham.

Paqueta could fancy a Spurs move

The opportunity to move to the North London club could be exciting for the player as well. It would be a step up for him, and he would get to play for a big club and fight for trophies. Tottenham recently won a European trophy, and they will be an attractive destination for the South American.

The player is at the peak of his career, and this is the right time for him to move on and take up a new challenge. Spurs need more attacking depth, and the 28-year-old certainly fits the profile.
