Tottenham 'preparing a bid' for 25-year-old, leading chase for 'priceless' star

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League, and Tottenham are leading the chase for his signature. Multiple other clubs are keen on the England International, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done.

Spurs readying Conor Gallagher bid

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are now “preparing a bid” for the player. They could offer around £35-40 million for the midfielder. He has played in the Premier League before, and he has shown his quality in the top flight. He could come in and make an instant impact at Tottenham. They need someone like him who will add physicality, defensive cover, and work rate to the side.

The opportunity to return to England could be quite exciting for the player as well. Spurs will be able to provide him with regular gametime and the platform to showcase his qualities in the UEFA Champions League. If they can sign him for a fee of around £35-40 million, it could be an excellent investment.

Spurs could use Gallagher

The midfielder is still very much at the peak of his career, and he will look to fight for trophies with the North London club. If the move goes true. He is a quality player who has been labelled as “priceless” by former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham have a quality squad at their disposal, but they need more depth if they want to do well across multiple competitions. They have started the season well, and a couple of quality additions before the window closes could help them have a successful campaign. They have recently won a European trophy, and they will look to build on it.

Signing the right players will be top priority for them.
