Tottenham winger Manor Solomon is wanted by Leeds United on a permanent deal after his exploits in the Championship last term

Thomas Frank is on the cusp of taking the throne from Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dane, who has been at Brentford for more than seven years, has reportedly agreed personal terms with Spurs. He will leave the Bees in a comfortable mid-table position in the Premier League and take the reins of a club across the capital that will compete in the Champions League next term.

Now that the season is over and the main transfer window approaching, there will be several changes made to the squad under the watchful eyes of Thomas Frank, Daniel Levy and Johan Lange. Several players have been linked to an exit from White Hart Lane, as the club embarks on a new chapter after Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal.

Manor Solomon is one of them. The fleet-footed winger spent the last season on loan at Leeds United, reigniting his career after a wretched time so far with Spurs. He etched his name in the history books by scoring the goal that helped the Whites clinch the Champions League title last month.

The Israeli international will now return to N17 after the conclusion of his season-long loan spell at Elland Road. Following promotion, Leeds United are interested in signing Manor Solomon from Tottenham in a permanent deal. The focus for Daniel Farke will be to help Leeds stay up next season, and he will need all the help he can get in the transfer market.

However, recent reports suggest Tottenham are planning to offer the 25-year-old another chance to prove himself at the club. The North London club bosses are ready to evaluate the winger over the pre-season with the idea of keeping him next term. Despite a change in plans, reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham feels Solomon will eventually sign for Leeds.

“I can’t see Solomon getting another chance with Tottenham,” John Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.

“He was loaned out for a whole season last year; he played a pivotal part in Leeds’ promotion and scored the goal which won them the Championship title.

“Therefore, I see him signing for Leeds. Maybe these reports are coming out to encourage Leeds to move ahead with that transfer, who knows?

“However, I just can’t see Solomon remaining at Tottenham. As I said, I think he will sign permanently for Leeds United.”

Solomon was sensational for Leeds from the Christmas period, playing a key role in their automatic promotion. He delivered 10 goals and 13 assists in 41 appearances, so it is but obvious that the Peacocks want to bring the Israel international back to Yorkshire.

With Frank closing in on the Spurs job, transfer decisions should now be the priority, and one of those decisions which needs to be made is whether Solomon is going to be sold or kept.

Tottenham already have Son Heung-min, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Mikey Moore who are able to feature on the left flank, whilst Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski can share duties on the right, but with Richarlison being linked with a move away and Moore still a raw talent, Frank could make a surprising decision to keep hold of Solomon.
